2027 Vision Board Goals
Five goals, twelve months and one board. Here is how to plan 2027 so the goals are still moving in the autumn.
Good 2027 vision board goals are few, specific and spread across the year. Choose five, one from each area that matters most, give each a target month and a first step, and space them so no two are due at once. Put the board where you see it daily and review it every quarter.
Every year I watch people set brilliant goals in January and forget them by March. The goals were fine. The planning was the problem. So these 2027 vision board goals come with a simple method: fewer goals, each with a month, spread across the year so there is always something coming up.
If you want ideas for what to put on the board first, see my 2027 vision board ideas. This guide is about turning those ideas into goals for the year.
How many 2027 vision board goals should you set?
Five is my favourite number. It is enough to cover the areas that matter and few enough that each one gets real attention. If five feels small, remember that each goal can have several steps, and finishing five goals in a year is a genuinely good year.
How do you choose which goals make the board?
Score each life area from one to ten: health, work, home, relationships, money, learning, fun and rest. Pick the areas with the lowest scores or the strongest feelings, then choose one goal for each. Write every goal specifically, so you would know when it is done. The SMART criteria are a helpful check: specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time-bound.
How do you spread goals across 2027?
Give each goal a target month, then look at the spread. Two in spring, one big one in summer, one stretch goal for autumn and one gentle goal for winter works well. If three goals land in the same month, move one. A year where something is always coming up is a year you stay engaged with.

What are good examples of 2027 goals?
- Health: walk four mornings a week from March.
- Learning: finish a short course by June.
- Adventure: a week by the sea in August.
- Home: finish the spare room by October.
- Relationships: host a winter dinner for close friends in December.

What goes under each goal on the board?
A target month and a first step. “Walk four mornings a week. From March. First step: pick the route this weekend.” That small line is what turns an image into a plan. Without it, the board is a wish list.
How do you choose images for 2027 goals?
Pick images from inside each goal: the path you will walk, the room finished, the beach you are going to. Avoid images with a different year printed on them. Your own photos often work best, since they show your real life rather than someone else’s.

How do you review 2027 goals through the year?
Every quarter, spend thirty minutes with the board. Which goals moved? Which stalled? Do any dates need to shift? Does a goal still matter to you? Move finished goals to a small done corner and add a new one if there is room. A quick weekly check in a goal tracker for your vision board keeps the quarterly reviews easy.
What if a 2027 goal falls behind?
Move the date and shrink the next step. A goal that finishes in November instead of June is still a finished goal. The only real failure is quietly dropping a goal you still care about. If you no longer care about it, take it down without guilt and put something that matters in its place.
How do you keep going when motivation dips mid-year?
It will dip, usually around May and again in the dark weeks of November. Plan for it. Keep one goal on the board that is easy and enjoyable, so there is always a win within reach. Shrink stalled steps until they take five minutes. And look back at the done corner, which is proof that the year is working even when it does not feel like it.
Should money goals be part of your 2027 goals?
If money matters to you this year, yes, pictured as what it makes possible: a trip, a calmer month, an emergency fund. Add one simple first step. These are ideas for your board, not financial advice.
What does a finished 2027 goals board look like?
Five images in a row, one for each goal, arranged in the order they are due. A word for the year across the top. Under each image, a month and a first step. A small empty corner for finished goals. It looks calm, not crowded, and it tells you at a glance what is next. For more on picking what goes on it, see my list of things to put on your vision board for 2027.
