Creating a vision board on iPad

It suits anyone who likes to plan on a bigger screen than a phone: students with a tablet for class, creatives who sketch on iPad and anyone who unwinds with one in the evening. The larger display shows your vision board clearly as you build, so balance and spacing are easy to judge.

Open this page in Safari or any browser on your iPad. Tap a square and choose Photo Library or Choose File, pick an image, then add a date and a caption beneath it. Work through all nine squares and tap Save as Image to keep your finished iPad vision board.

Both work well. Landscape lays the vision board out three squares across, so the whole grid reads like the final saved image. Portrait arranges the squares two across, which gives each image and caption a little more space while you type. Turn your iPad whichever way feels comfortable.

Yes. With Scribble turned on, write a caption or a date by hand in its field and your iPad converts it into typed text. Many people find that handwriting slows them down in a good way, so each vision board caption feels considered and personal.

Tap any square and your iPad offers your Photo Library, Take Photo and the Files app. Pictures from iCloud, screenshots from Safari and images saved from email all work. Each one drops into its square on the vision board, ready for a date and caption.

Tap Save as Image before you close the page, then open the saved vision board in Photos and use the share menu to set it as your wallpaper. Place it on the lock screen and your goals greet you each time you wake your iPad.

Yes. Tap Print and your iPad opens its print options, ready for any AirPrint printer on your network. Choose the paper size and the number of copies. A printed copy of your iPad vision board beside the desk pairs well with the wallpaper version on screen.
